Jack looks a little amused by the assertion that humans were not "designed for combat". "Technically we weren't designed for anything," he points out. "We're the result of millennia of random evolutionary changes. Which is probably why our knees are so terrible."

He's only about half-joking.

"Still, having someone who is designed for combat is probably a good idea, if there is actual protecting going on," he adds. He sighs up at the hotel. "We should probably go in."
